Stockholm May 22, 2002 Olivetti I-Jet and PrintDreams to start a strategic cooperation in the area of printing technology. The primary aim of this cooperation is to continue the development of the world's smallest paper-format independent mobile printer devices. Olivetti I-jet, an Olivetti Tecnost Group Company, and Swedish company PrintDreams today announced a strategic cooperation aimed at developing innovative ink-jet based printing devices addressed to the fast growing needs for mobile applications. The agreement is going to be achieved by combining Olivetti's know how on producing the most compact 300 dpi ink-jet print heads available on the market together with PrintDreams' revolutionary Random Movement PrintingTechnology (RMPT™) which is based on very advanced real-time mathematic algorithms and allows a totally new way of printing. Further intentions of the cooperation is to collaborate both in the technical and market fields of these new unexplored grounds. The technical aspects in the short term, refer to bridge PrintDreams proprietary RMPT™ Technology to interface ink-jet print head modules developed and manufactured by Olivetti I-Jet. In the middle term, to make available prototypes of RMPT™ printer devices which has been evaluated by both companies to have the best market potential, such as printer accessories for GSM/GPRS mobile phones and PDA's. In the long term, the technical aspects refer to take advantage of Olivetti's know how in engineering and industrializing RMPT™ inkjet products for third-party corporations that could be ready to brand, market and distribute these innovative devices. Object of the cooperation is also a joint marketing effort to market-scouting opportunities for the combined technologies of both Companies, not just limited to mobile printer applications, due to the high flexibility of both, RMPT™ and Ink-jet technology.
